What Kind of a Photographer Am I?

As you've probably guessed from browsing the website, my passion is photographing dogs, both on their own and with their people who love them. My specialty is creating  photographic artwork for your home or office, from wall displays to   albums that allow you to enjoy your images every day.

Sessions take place either in my home studio just outside Truro, N.S. or outdoors when our Maritime weather cooperates. While dogs make up the majority of my work, I also enjoy photographing people without pets, and I always welcome opportunities to work with horses and cats.

My approach is centered on creating lasting artwork rather than simply delivering a gallery of digital files. While digital images are available, my clients are typically those who want  to see and enjoy their printed images every day.

In today's digital world, it's easy for photographs to be hidden away on a phone, computer, or external hard drive, but I think our most meaningful images deserve better. A printed portrait becomes part of your home or office, a daily reminder of the pets and people  who fill you with joy.

We are in a digital world. That's why every printed image purchased includes its accompanying digital file sized perfectly for online sharing. You'll be able to post your images on social media, send them to friends and family, and enjoy them on your devices.

The digital files included with printed artwork are not intended for high-quality printing. As a professional photographer, my reputation is built on the images I have taken that clients display in their homes and offices. I take great care in selecting the print lab, print sizes and paper finishes,   to ensure every image that I have taken looks its very best.

For clients who would like additional flexibility, print-resolution digital files are available for purchase. These files are sized for prints up to approximately 8x12 inches and are priced similarly to a print of the same size. They are an excellent option for creatives who have access to a professional print lab.

If you've ever had prints made with every intention of framing them "someday," only to find them months or years later tucked away in a drawer or shoebox, you're certainly not alone. I’m guilty of doing that, too!  It happens all the time

One of the services offered is that I can take care of the finishing touches as well. I offer both in-house framing options in sleek black and light wood tones, as well as fully custom framing solutions for your most special images. These custom frames are handled by a professional craftsperson designed to complement your décor and transform your portrait into a true piece of art. By choosing framed artwork, your portraits arrive ready to enjoy from the moment they enter your home of office.

At the end of the day, I'm the kind of photogapher who wants the images that I take, and that you select, to become a meaningful part of your everyday life.
