Do you like to play with your dog?

Does your dog need to be active and busy to be his or her happiest?

Canine Agility just might be the answer!

I have to admit that as much as I would LOVE to do this type of activity with our girl, I just don't have the physical stamina to keep up! Late last summer, I was asked to photograph some of the participants in a friend's agility class, and I was amazed as the level of fitness that was needed to do even parts of the practice course. Kudos to those ladies who were there with their pups!

Luckily for me, I was there to photograph and not to do the running and guiding. It was so much fun, though, to see how the owners and dogs got to interact with each other. The dogs were having the time of their lives running and climbing and jumping and scooting through the tunnel. I should have asked if they all did this competitively and totally forgot. I know their instructor with her two Shelties has been involved at competition levels for years and travels all over to compete.

If agility in the Truro area is something you might be interested in, there are four or five businesses/individuals who can answer your questions and set you on the right path. Just do a quick Google search of "agility training Truro, N.S." to see some listings in our area.

For now, I present you with a book of our highlights from the sessions:
