I call them Keepsake, you might call them Mini Sessions! They're the photo sessions that fit the season here near Truro, N.S.
It's that time of year again when we enter the Christmas Holiday season. Along with the decorating, special baking, wonderful music and church services, one of the traditions that many people enjoy is having a yearly Christmas photo taken.
Now, if you've never done this before, you might ask, "Why would someone want a Christmas or holiday themed photo? Can you display that all year?"
Well, the why is easy: To commemorate an important time of year with family and friends in a fun way. Yes, we can take our own photos with our cameras and cell phones, but attending a session with a photographer becomes an event to plan and talk about and enjoy as a family/friends. Would you display the photos all year? Maybe! I've seen family photo walls with framed holiday photos, and a grandparent might love a small desk print to display on a table or ledge. Most people, though, seem to love to have the prints to add to their print collections that might be kept in a special photo box or photo album These get taken out from year to year and provide many smiles and good memories. (I hope you already have many of your own that you love to look at! )Some people love to give a print to relatives and friends who live farther away as gifts, and some like to use the files from their Christmas themed images to make their own Holiday cards.
Christmas Keepsake (or mini) Sessions are available for you near Truro this year.
Not wanting to be hampered by weather conditions, this year my Christmas photography sessions are going to be INDOORS! I've got a beautiful backdrop for the 2025 season. You can see a part of it in the photo of Ella below and further down in the detail image. Also, a huge benefit of being indoors, is that you won't have to freeze!
Is the studio area pet friendly? You know I LOVE pets, so YES! The sessions take about ten minutes and there are about twenty minutes between each session, so that gives us time to get your pet in and out without the excitement of seeing another animal, and it gives me time to do a quick refresh of the area for incoming people/pets!
