Weddings!

Weddings are one of the most special days in a person's life. While some prefer to have elaborate affairs with a hundred or more guests, my style of photography is best suited to the smaller and more intimate ceremonies. Whether in rain or shine or in a church, home , field or barn does not matter the least ! I like to meet the guests and let them know the camera is not to be feared, and I like to have the time to help the bride and groom relax into photographs that will be looked back on fondly in years to come. Larger wedding sometimes do not afford the time to do this as so many group shots must be taken it consumes the time between the ceremony and the reception and the guests and the couple become tired.

Oh, if four legged friends are involved in the wedding, I say, "Great!" One of my brides arrived in style in a lovely carriage drawn by a beautiful Belgian gelding from Hamilton Farms in Onslow, Nova Scotia.

A trend these days is to ask what "style" the photographer uses to capture a wedding. Well, my style is traditional ( I want to capture and process your photos in a way that does not look dated in ten years time), and I work with the bride and groom to establish a list of must have photos; however, it is also editorial in that I am also constantly looking for moments to help you remember all the little details and events of your wonderful day.

If you would like to do some off the wall things like drive your dad's tractor while wearing your wedding dress or jump into a pool with your groom at the end of the ceremony- no problem!

Engagement sessions, even short ones, are often a good way to get a shy groom to feel better about being photographed on his big day. Let's face it, a lot of guys ( and some girls) just don't like having their pictures taken, so a little practice beforehand can go a long way to making them feel happier and less stressed.

Wedding prices can vary so don't hesitate to contact me about your plans. There is absolutely no obligation; I'm happy to work up a quote for you, or you can tell me what you'd like to spend, and I can tailor a package for you to consider.
