FAQ

Will you help plan the session?

Absolutely! I can help with location choice, wardrobe selectoin AND help with getting everyone comfortable and relaxed during our session. I'm here to help you have a great photo experience!

What if it rains?

When we book a session that will be held outside, we also book a back up date in the event of bad weather. When possible, within six hours of our session time, you and I will talk and decide whether to go ahead with the session or use our back up date.

How are you with clients who have special needs?

After a long career in education, I am equipped to recognize what challenges a photo session might bring to many individuals and can usually accomodate all my clients. Of couse, I do this with your help as we will discuss and plan the session in advance to make sure the session is as relaxed and enjoyable as possible. (This applies to your pet friends, too, who have their own individual needs.)

Can my dog stay on its leash?

When we are outside, staying on leash is really the best and safest route to take! I will remove leads; collars and harnesses will remain, so choose ones you'd like to see in your photos!

Do I get all the digitals?

Digital files sized for online sharing accompany all prints that are purchased at no extra cost. If you are not interested in prints, you can purchase digitals in sets for online sharing/small print making.

Business portrait and business branding clients recieve a larger digital file for commercial use.

Are the travel expenses included?

Half hour sessions include travel within 10km of Truro, N.S., and hour sessions inlude travel within a 20KM radius. Further travel is $1.00 per KM.

What happens if I have to cancel the session?

If you have to cancel the session for an emergency or medical reason, you will receive a 100% refund of any fees you have already paid. If you cancel the session for any reason other than a medical emergency, you will forfeit the retainer/session fee. Print and digital orders are final. If I have to cancel the session, you will receive back whatever you have already paid. In both instances, we can also see if rescheduling is a good option.

How many people can come?

If it's an outside location, there is no limit to the number of particpants. The time allocated to the session, if a numbers of different groupings were to be required, would be a factor.

If the session is taking place in my home studio, four to five individuals can be accomodated. It's a bit cozy!

Can I bring a dog or two?

Please do! I love dogs! (Cats and horses and all pets are part of what I do!)

If it's for a home studio session, I just require that your pupper is house trained and not aggressive as I will be pretty close to you in a smaller space, and that can be worriesome to some dogs.

I encourage you to bring your dog(s) along to any type of session, from business headshots to family sessions!

Do I sign a contract?

Yes! Called a Photography Agreement, it covers cancellations, liability waivers and model releases.

How and when do I pay?

Payment methods include e-transfer and credit cards via PayPal. All Sessions, Collections and products are paid for in full at the time of booking.
